With the increasing interest in Computerised Machine Embroidery, a group was formed at the Cottage toward the end of 2006 to provide an opportunity for people with similar interests to meet on a regular basis.
The group meet every Tuesday from 9.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m. where members are able to share information about all aspects of Machine Embroidery. Members own a wide variety of different brands and models of machines and this provides a good opportunity to keep up to date with the latest trend. Members are also able to share information about:
- Needles, threads stabilisers, hooping etc.
- All types of Machine Embroidery software including a variety of ways that members catalogue their design collections and how to find the design you want
- Interesting internet sites and choosing designs
- Many interesting things about Machine Embroidery
A group project is always great fun and usually a member will show the group a new technique or how to make a specific item.
Chris Diggle is the Machine Embroidery group leader.
