No experience necessary—just bring your creativity and a willingness to play with colour!

What to expect

Discover the beauty of watercolour!  You’ll explore essential materials, experiment with a variety of techniques, and gain confidence in painting with bold, expressive colour.

Through step-by-step demonstrations, you will be guided to create two beautiful paintings while encouraging a loose, intuitive approach. You’ll take home a collection of technique explorations, along with your finished artworks, and a newfound freedom in your painting style.

Day 1—Basics and Techniques:  An overview of materials, and an exploration of different applications to achieve different effects.

Day 2—Colour and Composition:  Delving into colour relationships and pigments.  Selecting subjects, focal points, using the rule of thirds, etc.
