Experiment with wrinkled textures and patterns on silver! 

 

What to expect: 

• Learn the art of reticulating silver.  

• Use these surface creations to design, embellish and create unique jewellery. 

• A Silver Reticulation Kit (value $120) is included in your tuition fee at the time of registration.  The tutor will provide this kit to you at the workshop. 

 

 About your tutor: 

 

Nick honed his silversmithing skills living and working in the outback of Queensland and Northern Territory.   The drama, contrast, and texture of the outback are reflected in his creations. 

 

Nick’s innovative jewellery designs are hand-crafted with sterling silver, fine silver, Argentium silver, gold, mixed metals, such as Shibuichi, use of gemstones, and lab grown materials.   

 

His work has been profiled in exhibitions throughout Queensland and New South Wales and has been purchased by galleries and private collectors both in Australia and overseas. 

 

What will I bring? 

• Your own tools and normal safety equipment.  

• Your own silver and solder to use when creating jewellery.  

• It is optional to bring a handheld butane torch if you chose. 

• Small amounts of silver can be purchased from the tutor if necessary. 

• REMINDER:  The tutor will provide you with a Silver Reticulation Kit (value $120)
